Termites is one of the biggest causes of house damages in Australia.

Recently I was recently looking at different ways to eliminate termites.

I came across several sites that I would like to share:

Offers Do It Yourself, termite baits which you can buy and install. The only restriction is that they don’t sell any termiticide to public, because “the current label for all suitable termiticide restricts their availability to licenced pest managers only”, ” it is a specialised product for which our professional pest manager has undergone special training.”

Then I looked at how to acquire a licence:

It looks rather complicated if I was just going to do it for one termite nest.  There are also courses:

The APCA Pest Control Certificate take 6 weeks and costs $3000. Further more getting a licence looks time consuming, so I’ll skip that idea for now.

For now I’m thinking

1) to get “Termite Baits” and “Intrigue Dust” from “Green Termite Bait System”, install the bait and apply the dust, then look at the effects. Or

2) look at the prices for Pest Control, and get them to do it.

Cancer is a disease in which a group of cells with in the body displays uncontrollable growth.

Acorrding to WHO: Cancer is a leading cause of death worldwide: it accounted for 7.9 million deaths (around 13% of all deaths) in 2007.

While a complete cure for cancer is still in its research phase, treatments such as Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy, and Surgery has been adopted as the current means to battling this deadly disease with varying success rates based on the stage of the disease.

However these treatments leave fatal side effects. In some cases, they might have actually have a bigger contribution to the patient’s death as opposed to the cancer dieasea it self. In this article I’ll focus on Chemotherapy.

The main idea behind the treatment is to stop cell division of these cancerous cells. But this would also have a large impact to other cell that divides often, such as white blood cells (reducing immunity), red blood cells (reducing oxgyen lv in body), mouth cells (causing a dry and uncomfortable mouth). Other effects include, hair loss, dry / discoloured skin and nail and  bone marrow problems.

MBA; Master of Business Administration; When people think of it, they usually link to high paying important positions such as CEOs, General Managers and Managing Directors.

However, along with the high paying and important positions, many graduates (some of whom I know) also didn’t get very far, and was left with a bucket load of debt. After all MBA is a very financially challenging degree. Most of them costing on average $40,000 per year.

“Is Getting an MBA Worth it?” talks about an alternative form of education next to the MBA. Names PMBA (Personal MBA), it is an:

So for absolutely no cost (if we borrow the books from the library), we can gain the knolwedge on par with MBA graduates.

For people who are looking to start their MBA, I urge you to have a look at PMBA. Who knows, you could save yourself tens of thousands of dollars. Or if not, you would have gain more knowledge to prepare you for better marks in the actual MBA program.
